srry i dont lik mallcore i just hate it.....but anyways charima is not mallcore but not underground and not mainstream so there lik a band that alot of ppl know and sell a fair amount of records do i lik them... alttle....but they are very crative in the riffs and they pay back to there inspartations....read a good artacile on them in relover mag.
dude there are multiple branches of metal death metal,nu metal,thrash,underground,melodic but the only reason metal is the way it is today is because of metallica who have benn around since 1960's and are considered the best by many metal heads the fact is as far as musicianship goes most bands wouldnt come close to metallica who have the skill to intergrate into a symphony orcestra (S&M) metallica have done everything from thrash to melodic even nu metal so technically you cant accuse some mainstream bands for not being metal because there are so many different styles of metal it isnt funny ive only mentioned a few but some bands are just waaaay over produced. this is my view on things. my hint is shut up cause there have been too many of these threads. my fav metal bands are underground the exception to this is i killed the prom queen. so take the hint im over this type of thread im sure many others are too

there is no such thing as mallcore. Music you hear in malls? I hear sabbath, system of a down, Strapping Young Lad and a buncha other bands in malls. If I heard Marilyn Manson in a mall, does that make him mallcore? See, the whole idea is stupid and takes away from the purity of metal. Coheed & Cambria are basically rock music, i'd say. Listening to underground bands is cool, but nothing to brag about. You listen cuz its really good, not because not many other people listen to it. And people who are underground wouldn't pass up a chance to play ozzfest or something, even tho it would bring them out of the "underground".
