I couldn't figure out what to do with the BG, so I'm open to suggestions on that, as well as other comments.

 

my suggestion for the BG is some vectored clouds mor enimbus/storm type with just a bolt of lighting for touch

as for my critique other than the oversharpened feathers I like it overall ^_^

id say so this def has to go in the best tags section, im luvin it

 

put that little extra 10 minutes just to detail the iris and the eye. it looks epic and that just looks flat. V1 definantly too. this could win it man. just put more tiny details in
