Ok whenever i try using the pen tool, it starts to :censored: up and the inner side of the pen lines turn Black or whatever color the thing is.

What do i do to just cut it out with pen.

idk if that made sence, let me rephrase

When i trace over an item it begins to turn black inside or whatever color its on.

    how do i fix it?

    And....

The settings above is what I normally use because it makes a path (which turns into a selection).

Take a look at the picture above. You notice the red circle?

The first box in the red circle: That is what you are on. It adds the color when you add points from the pen. in other words, what yours is doing.

The second box in the red circle: Allows you to create a path, which doesn't add color when you make new points. To make a selection, go to "Paths" on the layer section:

Right click the path, then press "Make selection" and then do whatever you want.

I hope that helped, it probably confused you more :P

There's plenty of tutorials about pen tool basics.

Use the search button, and please read the "Before Requesting" thread.
