I am about to head off to college and I am looking to buy a PDA. If any of you have one, what is it and what features does it have?

Its actually only a few ounces, its very light. My friend carried it everywhere for his MP3 player until he got his Zune.

Let me guess, an iPod kid that thinks every piece of technology should be small, light, and compact?

    you mean:

an iPod kid that thinks every piece of technology should be highly marketed, sold at a 150% profit margin and standardized to the extent of extortion. ™

on another note, I'm also in the market for a PDA/cellular phone and need to start doing some research myself. all I want is a decent keyboard, decent screen, and the capacity to take notes. Also the ability to play Mp3s, record, etc. Snes would be nice though.

Heres a unlocked phone that i think meets all your requirements, has wifi, windows mobile 5 so you can run emulators, and its unlocked for gsm.

    Samsung i600

Also most unlocked gsm phones cost about 3-5x more than the carriers version that is branded and has features taken away.
