    Right, i wish to output my PC to my HD ready TV. I just want some advice on what would be best.

    I have an 8800GT, and a Philips 37" HDTV. The TV has DVI-i , and DVI audio imputs. Should i;

    1. Use a straight DVI from GFX card, to TV. But would my graphics card think this is a second monitor?

    2. Use the supplied HD tv cable which came with my 8800, to connect to the lead which i got with the tv. (3 hd phono leads links to a VGA plug). And then use a vga > dvi convertor to plug into tv.

    3. ???

    Ideally i wich to carry audio too, but DVI-i cannot carry audio. I have a DVI audio plug on my TV, which is round.
    I have no hdmi connections on the tv, as it is a few years old.

    I say try the DVI to tv first,

    its less complicated than getting a little converter :D

    haha, well not really, I'm just lazy =]

    If you have surround sound you can do what I do, I connect my laptop to my tv and plug my surround sound into my laptop so I can use it as a makeshift home theater thinggy :D
