Pc Lag

i have pc lag at lans and stuff even over the internet whats the go ?

 

umm...not sure...

try adaware and spybot search and destroy...

also make sure you dont have any programs eating away at ur bandwidth like file sharing programs..for even less lag cut off all other internet services/programs other than ur online game..(like Ie, aim or msn for example)

 

Do you have broadband?

 

Also, check to see how much DDR RAM you have, because the more you have, the faster you programs will work

 

go to www.microsoft.com and get spywere beta remover

scan with that

scan with a virus progrem if u have one

then

if u use xp go

Start > all programs > acsessoies > system tools > disk clean up

if u have any numbers apart from 0 next to the following thing tick the box's

downloaded program files
tempory internet files
recycle bin
tempory files
compressed files
and anything to do with microsoft office

and click next or finish

then go

Start > all programs > acsessoies > system tools > defragmenter

or summin like that

run that on ur C drive
( Takes a while )

then restart

when u come back on make sure if u have a p2p like ares - win mx or kazza that u make it so that if u wish to listen to music switch the program so it is not connected to the net.

or if ur not listen in to mp3's close it fully

then u should notice a diffrence

 

I think it is just cause you have slow internet or you are taking up all the bandwith with all the programs that use internet.

 

U probly got spware, just run some checks...

 

he said its happening over lans aswell so Dont say its his net.

Unistall. Reinstall via download or get a friend to burn it on CD if it works for them... ive had to do this before with online games.

 

Just delete some files that you dont use and it might make ur comp faster...i erased like 20 photoshop files and it made my comp faster
