I got a new PC, whoch came with a crappy integrated GFX card. i also haev NFSU MW, which is choppy and laggy and stuff. if i got a decent GFX card, would the game run fine? nice and smooth graphics and stuff? i have 1 gig ram, and a 2.0ghz amd athalon 64 3200+ processor. would the game run okay with a new GFX card? or do i need to but other things too?

Hmm..It should run okay..You can always try that test from that other thread..You should know what I'm talkin about. But the Ram is definetly ok, processor should be about good enough..graphics card is really just holding you back I believe..

Don't even mess with overclocking, unless your really experienced, it's not really worth it, since it;; fry your computer... unless u got like 10 cooling fans

I'm pretty sure you can upgrade your processor as long as your mobo supports your new one. But the processor you have should be good enough..I think so at least..

if I under-clocked my processor(a64 3000+) to about 1.4GHz it would still be fine for gaming assuming I had a good enough card(s). Since about 1998 gaming has relied more on the GPU than the CPU. Now, the core architecture of a CPU matters, but all the A64s and Athlon 64s have similar enough architecture for it to be negligeable.

Everything is fine, just get an AGP or PCI-E graphics card (depending on your mobo) and put it in, download latest drivers and you're set.

    I got a AMD643500
    512mb RAM
    6600GT

    and it works superbly

Ill say get a new GFX card with pixel shader support ;) Read the specs of the GFX card and not just buy because ones 128mb and ones 256mb which will do better - Thats not the case

Your memory is enough and ur processor should be able to take it :D Only thing is HD then - More space more performace than a low HD space :D

If you need help just post your views about the choice of GFX card you want :)
