These account are worth money. I spent 25 on my own. They could sell these account, for like, 15, someone saved 10 bucks and already has an established account.

Alright, I'll do this the nice way.

    1. Any topic, regardless of the quality, will drive usefull topics down. Also, this is the Problems and Suggestions forum. Half the posts in this forum are useless to begin with.
    2. People will get creds for spam posts no matter what in any forum that has credits enabled.
    3. The amount of generosity in this forum is next to nothing lately, you should know that. There's only a handful of members that would actually send a significant amount of credits to people saying they got hacked. Also, I haven't seen sending creds to people making those topics become an issue at all.
    4. There is a use, it shows people here how common it's becoming which can give them a heads up to protect their accounts.
    5. Forum space doesn't matter and is it THAT big of a deal to overlook a few posts?

It doesn't effect you. You don't need to read them, you can easily NOT click them and ignore them. What's so hard to understand about that? There's no need to make such a big deal about something so small and insignificant like this.

I'm going to have to agree with frontmill on this matter. Its bad public image for GameRenders, and just creates and adds fuel to the 'Hacking' situation here at GR.

Look at this way: Two people in the last week claim to be hacked, and i log into my account and find all my credits missing. Oh noes! I am now hacked, and lost my thousands of credits.

When in fact, i was just fined, bought something without remember, or they were in the bank. - Something like that.

In reality, if you use a unique password for GameRenders, do not share it with others - you will be secure, and your credits safe. I have not had my account ever broken into at GameRenders, and i encourage anyone to try. You have my permission to keep all credits and download links found on my account if you get in.

    I agree with BFTP.

I have however had my account locked before from hacking attempts.

If your password is lengthy and varies a good amount of characters, you should be fine.

Wrong, but true at the same time.

A "true hacker" will not waste time hacking other peoples accounts, they would make their account Donor or w/e. Think about it, if the hacker hacks some one elses account and sells it, the former owner of the account will post//complain to the admins that his account got hacked. If the hacker is good, chances are unless the admins do a lot of digging he is not going to get cought, but its still attention he dose not want.

While on the other hand, the "true hacker" could hack his own accounts and make them donor then sell them, or hack his account and give him small ammounts of creds every now and then ( if he gives a ton then he will be noticed a lot faster) This would: Be a lot less noticeable, unless the admin(s) check every single donor//perm account to find a matching payment. And would not cause other people to post on alt accounts about him.

You are true in the fact that a hacker would just break into the DB to do it and not crack the password.

well first off "hacking" is not illegal. The illegal form of so called "hacking" is called cracking. Hacking is when you tweak something; like modify your psp.
Just wanted to clear that up :P[

You would be incorrect. Hacking is not modifying your psp, thats called modding. Cracking and hacking, is illegal. Hacking is when someone gains unauthorized access to databases/web sites, etc. However, most true hackers, are not malicious, they hack for knowledge, go in, look around, leave their tag, then leave with nothing harmed.

Much easier to get caught. If they hack another account, they don't even have to log in. Therefore no evidence they did it.

First off this isn't happening because of SQL injections so there really arn't "hackers" only social enginerrs or crackers.

True, but most of the time the ones who can actually pull off geting in and not leaving anything behind, arnt interested in gamerenders accounts.

Who sais anything about sql injections, there are other ways some one could get in.

We can sit here and argue over the definition of a "true hacker" all day, but it still will not change the original point of this thread. The only person on this forum who can save them is the admin, therefore they should PM him and not make another post. All posting dose is:
    >Increase the users post count
    >If he is lying people donate creds to him wrongly because they dont know it.
    >Make the forum look bad//give it a bad rep
