my processor, the box says its 3.2ghz, its actually 3.21ghz does that mean im voiding the warranty? i didnt do it.. my vid card came overclocked form the box , but i never overclocked my stuff, cuz that voids the warranty
I overclock my stuff when I need to. Right now my comp handles about every game avalible on the market, and with quite good graphics so I see no need to overclock. I don't udnersatdn people that overclock stuff for fun, seriously overclocking a processor makes it work harder and thus break faster. So overcloking when you don't realy need to is for idiots.
in science class i overclocked a processor x10 i used liquid hydrogen NOTE: I WAS SUPERVISED BY PROFESSIONALS WHO KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING -- I DO NOT SUGGEST DOING THIS YOURSELF
I overclock a bit. I pushed my 2.0GHZ athlon 64 to 2.6 once, didn't feal it was worth the risk though an A64 3000+ is good enough for me.
So no serious ocers atm? Too bad. btw overclocking is really fun. Messing around in the bios, building cooling systems and solerring stuff on your mobo/vga.
CPU: overclocked my a64 3000+ to about 3800+ speeds GPU: got my fx5200xt 256mb to about 5900 speeds once Ram: got my pc3200 to about pc3800 speeds
when your computer gets to the point where its only worth $500 and you purchased it for over $1500, it doesnt seem to matter so much, you just want to get as much out of it as you can
yeah, OCing is a cheap way to extend then life of your system an extra year. For me the general rule is never to OC a part I can't afford to replace. That is why I never keep my system OCed, right now I am running at stock.
i had a radon 9250 GFX Card (all i cloud afford at the time) and overclocked it it mess up im mean toally messed up had to return it at store.
