Over Clocking

    Yeah dude, listen to the guys with experience. I guess it wouldnt be too bad if you were running an amd which can generally be overclocked about 200 megs more then they are set at without doing anything bad. I wouldnt suggest trying anything with intel though.

    intel s run hot as they are, don't OC them. as for AMDs its somewhat safe to OC them 5-10%

    for example, my AMD 3000+ runs at 2.1 effective GHZ, it would be somewhat safe to OC it by 300 effective mhz(10% of 3k) to 2.4ghz without doing much to my default cooling because I don't have a hot computer. situations vary though if your computer runs hot then either upgrade your cooling or just buy a better processor
