Well, my dad is by no means a pro, and the way he plays isn't really what you'd call solo work. He never received any formal guitar lessons or anything... However, he's awesome in that he can listen to any song and figure out how to play it on the guitar in about 5 minutes. He's got an incredible ear.

I can do that to certain music that i like, but still if you have played for that long, you have to know quite a few tricks. I mean Joe Satriani is only like 40, and he is the best guitarist in the world, IMO. (i know people will complain about this, but this is my opinion.) Eddie Van Halen, can't even compare.
My friends been playing for 8 years and he thinks he's good but rofl i'm way better than him and i can play much faster than him and i've only been playing for about 2 - 3 years

It makes a cool sound. Which you can get by pulling down the string with your fretboard hand. My Camera is broken so I googled to find my crap. Oh yeah, I have one of these lying around too.... Somewhere....
lol, i just started playing guitar, and i dont take lessons. I got a strat and your basic beginner amp. Also a distortion pedal (from BOSS um, distortion ds-1 w/e i dont know i got it for my birthday ) *points to signature*
