Does anybody here consider themselves primarily old school gamers?
It pretty much sums up my gaming life. I have a few new consoles, but most of my life has been spent with the SNES and N64. The SNES has such a great library of games, and Nintendo was still the best system for RPGs.
The reason I like the N64 is because it's a great party system. Mario Party, Smash Bros., Goldeneye, Mario Kart - I pull this out whenever my friends are around and bored.
I no longer have a Genesis, but that was a great console as well.

I've still got a NES, but it's the re-released, smaller version. My original NES was damaged by smoke from a house fire about 10 years ago.

I think I've owned just about every console released but now I've only got a PS3 and 360.

I really wish I held on to my old consoles, I can honestly say I had much more fun playing them back in the day.

Although, I do have emulators on my computer but it's just not the same. :(

You should go on ebay and pick some of them up. I can certainly recommend a game library (for SNES, especially)

Bionic Commando was one of my favorites on the NES.

I do to a degree. I still prefer SNES based RPGs to more recent ones. Just really liked FF6, chronotrigger and the like.

Chrono Trigger and Earthbound were gems.

Yea one of my friends still has an n64 and we play it sometimes. Personally, however, I am a graphics whore, so I <3 the next-gen consoles.

I'm more impressed by visuals in movies than in games for some reason. o.o
If I had infinite money I'd buy all 600+ of my DVDs in blu-ray format. They probably don't even have all of them in blu-ray yet, though.

I can still look at a game and be like "dayum...," but the graphics don't have to be realistic to look good in a video game. ;)
