no one really gives me ---- about ti, I get complements on my work at times and I have actually had people ask me for a copy of photoshop and other said I should have been in the yearbook staff this year because some of the freshmen couldn't render for their lives and some of the work was utter crap... ugh pictures layer over each other at 50% opacity... scary...
I don't tell anybody, but I think like 4 people know I even no wtf photoshop is. I tryed to teach one of them.. i just told him to do 50 different tuts, then memorize how to do each one. And then go back with me. And I make sprays for another one, or in his words "thats gangster"
Most people i know are too dumb for the internet and wonder if signing up on forums gives people access to their hotmail :blink: as for knowing what photoshop is M$ Paint is the closest they will get People who laugh only laugh as they can't do it.
They point and laught at me. Sometimes when i am on the school computers they sneak up and give me a wedgie. Its horrible. I get swirlies and they say " Photoshop this Bi*** " while they are doing it. lol I'm just kidding around I'm actually pretty popular and I know a few kids and one teacher at my school that use it. The teacher is really good with photoshop and hella good with C4D, he actually made a music video with it and made a robot that was breakdancing. he showed it in class and it was asome.
I don't call myself a graphics designer around freinds(photoshop wise anyway), or anywhere for that matter. I also don't consider at least 90% of the people on this site graphics designers, why? Because AT LEAST 90% of us don't use only things that we have made. The only way I would consider someone a graphics designer was if EVERYTHING in their work was ORIGINAL, or theirs if you want an easier word. In my honest opinion, if you didn't originally create EVERYTHING in your piece of work, it's ripped, since you would have had to have ripped something from somewhere. Yeah, I went off topic, oh well. Besides, the people in my town are all immature and barely understand anything, so if I even mentioned any of the programs I use around them they would break out into a million questions and then shut up because their ignorrance would have gotten the better of them. I'm probably one of the few people here that can actually make something completely theirs, I just wouldn't be able to put a font on it, I'd simply hand draw all of it, including the text, then color it in a bit, shading and ----, then scan it and do some minor touch ups, maybe I'll do that later I do do some sort of graphics designing though. I work for a grave monument company and do monument engravings, everynow and then we get some people that can only throw ideas at us, in which case I have to hand draw something and have them approve it first. I carried on too long, someone slap me please.
No one cares....but when peeps at skool make pages and need GFX..they come to me! Even the school pays me sometimes to make stuff
i too am running a 2nd life nobody konws about msn teamspeak what i do on the internet anything about me and photoshop they dont know i post on forums they dont no anyting and i tend to leave it that way
Well, going to a school that is based of computers and technology might help, but I often get some good comments. People ask me for help on banners, make them templates to cut and code, so on. I also post stuff on DA and so on so I have tons of friends who get to see it, that adds a nice, well-needed boost to my ego
