Ok, I told Llamaman that I could not post a new thread, yet I could make a reply. It would just time out, and say it can't be found. This was on one of my friend's computer. He knows little about spy/adware and viruses. I downloaded all the free spyware removers, including ADAware, S&D, and Microsoft. Together they found 50 instances of spyware. I got AVG, Avast, Nod32, and Kaspersky (sp? I only did the online scan). They found 150 viruses, some in the Windows/System32 folder, had to use Avast to do a at-boot scan to kill the windows/system32 folder viruses. (note: He used Kazaa in the past, but never cleaned it out.) If you find you can't post a new thread, this might be your problem. Please pin this so others can see it.
Thanks for the heads up, but i stoped using Kazaa a long long time ago. It has too many problems. Anyway, thanks again. Could be usefull info, although i would run virus scans almost every day anyway.
not everybody does, m8... Some people think that once you install an antivirus or spyware killer, you are safe, which is obviously not true. You have to actually scan once a week, once every two weeks at the longest. (this was supposed to go in problems/suggestions for people that have this problem and can see it there... that's why i put it there)
excellant work hope gets pinned: As PC Techie we get lot of these problems that ends up coming down to Spyware and adware
