Ok what is the point of auctioning if half the time the end result isn't up to the person's reserve?

You should not be able to reserve the right not to sell. It's just annoying if you bid in an auction and in 7 days they decide not to sell, what's the point of even starting low then?

If they decide no to sell it, that's there decision. It's their art.

But if they decide not to, they cannot try to sell it again in the future.

Ok but say they do not say that in their first post. Then someone bids. Then AFTER that, they say they don't have to sell.

Would they have to sell or not?

Once again, it's their work. They can do whatever they want.
