labels are retarted, i just use pro in my titles cuz it gets more views and sells more.

It'll still look just as good without the title, but people wont bother opening the thread.

Credit whores are annoying though. Like they got 100k credits (overexgaturating) typo <-- and they don't give first person discounts and stuff like that....... or when someone gives free creds to say the first people that post...... the richs guys always take it.

    Smh...

Some people can see you as a pro, and others can see you as a "noob". People have different photosjop tastes, skills, and experience, and they base their opinions on that. Whether or not they be an ass about it is up to them.

the thing that pisses me off is when someone thinks that they r so much better then everyone else just cuz a few people rated them "semi pro" from a couple of sigs at NSL or something
i've been rated everything from novice to pro for some of my sigs but u don't see me acting like it's the end of the world when someone rates me low. that's their opinion and it doesn't really make any difference in how i make sigs or how anyone else rates me

if i rate u inter and u don't like it, too damn bad

About the pro thing, people do it, people will keep on doing it. Just live with it. It's not the end of the world if somebody says they're tag is pro and it sucks.

I hate credit whores. They'll have like 50k and you can ask them for like 100c and they wouldn't give it to you.

    I hope i won't get off track here :P

I read another thread similar to this but there they discussed the usage of C4Ds in a so called pro environment.

I don't really get it as why people just complain about others being label as pros.

I don't really care about who or what they are. Pro or not pro, i just care for the outcome. If a so called pro will sell me a tut that is full of half learned high school English he is not a pro. If he makes his tutorials hard to be understood with hard to understand jargon, he is not a pro.

I trust more a labelled pro than a newb for the simple reason that a pro might have more experience but if this so called pro messes himself up by giving me a skechy job then he loses credible reputation and will not be able to sell anything to anyone in the long run.

So, generally, you can see for yourself who is pro labelled and if he deserves it. You must be able to acknowledge a job well done and easy to understand step buy step. How can i trust someone who makes a sig or a CS2 job when he just nails a good work by pure chance?

If someone is called pro is not very close to some guru which i consider higher than a pro.
Ask a guru and he will let you mesmerized babbling with a full mouth open. A pro is not even close to a guru label. Now, the so called pro is a pro in what field? Sig making, tut wringing, banner making, Rendering or anything else?

For me a pro is just someone specialized in a certain field. Nurses are pros but doctors are more than just pros, the same applies to sig making.

Personally, I don't know how to make good sigs, i strive to get them ok and get more bad comments than good ones. A pro has to be able to make every single of his work worth a while.

We have some of the best pros in GR, i can't even measure up to them, there is no question about it. And example is Draven with his awesome render cuts. Every single of his renders i have seen they go straight to premium areas.

The day i will feel bad coz others call themselves pros is the day i will be full of jealousy and becoming a pro will just make me an air headed person.

Judge a person for their work and give them the place they deserve for what they deliver to us as their work. There is no need to feel bad just coz someone calls himself a pro and his work is not good at all. Is his reputation that is on the line, not mine. I just stop dealing with a phony pro, simple.

I was nice reading all your posts :P

why would they give you discounts if they dont want to?? They established the 50 cred rule to help you guys out,id still be selling tuts for 100-150 credits if that rule wasnt there, becayse thats wat they are worth. It shouldnt be a good tut costing the same as something garbage.

the correct definition of "pro", as mention earlier, is one who gets paid to do stuff. its all just a matter of opinion

id say like 95% of people do it for fun theres a small 5% here that do it more for like prints etc
just have fun dont let ratings bother you ignore them
people will call there stuff what they want at the end of the day

so what if they lable themself pro
in art there is no bounderys
if you feel the need to put a lavel on yourself in art then you shouldnt be doing it
