I sell a render pack. But what I claim, is not the renders (other than the ones I did of course), but the WORK that went into compiling the pack. What sets mine apart is that I have spent my time categorizing the renders that I have into 50+ folders, and selling my SERVICE for others' convenience.

I think that would be selling my "work" wouldn't it?

From what I've seen, people who release these render packs get a ton of +rep for doing so. I think this is wrong if the renders included in this pack are not all theirs. They are merly using the person's stuff without permission to gain rep.

If it is only your renders then it's fine but you shouldn't have work that isn't urs included in the package.

Then again, if you add ur name in the render it might help but you still could cut that out and change it...

Who cares, they images don't belong to the "renderers," they belong to the original artist, all the kids do is cut them out, so theres no need to ask this people for permission to do anything with them. The only person you need to ask for permission for use, is the original artist of the picture, and they should have contact info on the sites you steal them from.

So stop your griping and claiming work that isn't yours, get over it and move on.

Well, the last time I checked picutres didn't render themselves. So they deserve credit for cutting them out. Cuz without them being cut out, they are nothing.

Exactly. Last time I checked, renders don't organize themselves. So I deserve credit for categorizing them. Cuz without them being categorized, they won't cost a cent.

I am planning on doing a render pack of ONLY renders i made myself. I don't feel like taking others hard work and selling em. Specialy since i am perfecly capable of rendering them myself lol.

understatement of the year there pal, a top notch cg is nothing if its not cut out by some kid who has nothing better to do with his/her time? Wow, are you one of the most ignorant people i've come across.

You people take cutting out pictures way to serious, get a job, get a life and move on, you deserve no credit for doing something that takes 5 minutes if your talented and know how to use a layer mask.

WTF...A god quality render takes anywhere from 30 mins to 5 hours..or more..it all depends on complexity.

And u can't get a good render by using a fricken layer mask. It looks like shiat.

    Final conclusion:

"Credits have to be given to the people who actual render the images"

It takes 10 minutes to save a few renders on your harddisk, and a few more to put them in one .zipfile. That cant be compaired with the time people put into actaully rendering an image.

Renderpacks will be removed from GR from now!

Credits have to be given to the original renders!
