No More Render Packs!

hey ive just seen multiple render packs, and it contained a few of my renders. but i have never even read a comment / recieved rep or creds from the person who made this render pack. i think with render packs the props for the work you did go lost. i bet more people have experienced finding their own renders in render packs. and they know how annoying it must be.

its just ridiculous to sell something you did not do/make. therefor i am against render packs. what are your ideas on that? should renderpacks be forbidden?


(please do not flame me, but also try to look trough my point of view, your work going poof)

 

i don't get why it's such a big deal if people use renders that u cut...i mean it's an internet picture y does it really matter?

 

ways of stopping them doing it legally or making sure you get credit
- name the file render-date-name.png (normally can only be done if you have your own website)
- have a nice little message saying you cut it and they can't package it on the 'render'
- when you post it say creds if you use

then if they use it you can shout at them
IMO render packs should only be done with your own renders, not anyone elses.

yeah, render packs should only contain renders made by the guy selling the pack

 

The render packs shouldnt be sold or then have to give some of the earnings to the ppl that made it. I think they should be free, if the person that render them says it is a free render. IMO

exactly. well there are some huge render packs around, i doubt theyve made those all themselves

 

They images don't belong to you, so why do you care so much?

I haven't really released any renders of mine recently but from the past stuff, I don't really care and I don't bother downloading other packages. What I do is just accumulate a bunch of my own renders and then release them myself. It'd be nice to get credit/recognition for the work I did but I don't push for it as long as people don't try to pass the work off as their own.

 

yes this thread is just dumb your complaining basically because your dont get your creds or rep for doing the render.. so what creds and rep arent mandatory if its free... if you want to avoid this YOU YOURSELF make your OWN render pack and sell it and get the creds you think you deserve

I think that render packs are perfectly fine. I just made a pack with 1800. If the kid wrote his name in the picture, we know who did it. If they dont, then we cant tell who did it. As for the idiotic kids who are like, "rep or cred if use"..... Screw them. There are many people who say, "Free for use", like me. I dont care if I put your render in my pack. If you are someone who likes to credit people for using their renders, feel free to give them credit, as long as you know who did it.

 

Most of you people here have gotten photoshop illegally. But when somebody supposedly steals your render that you only cut you get angry I smell hypocrisy.

 

well its all a hustle to get creds and rep on GR just got to play the game man
