The DS hasn't set up their internet yet so the only way to play others or Pictochat is to stay within about 50ft. of each other. I hear that the PSP has some probs too, like itz battery life is only 2 1/2 hours when watching movies. But I forgot how many playing hours, I think like 5. Because of that reason I barely chose the DS over the PSP.

Well I own a Ds and its 100ft. besides at the end of this year nintendo ds online sould be up and running i heard. and besides you can never go wrong with nintenod. ;) I got one and all and mario 64 Ds pwns all and the metriod demo is so freaking fun! and the PSP life is 3 hours watching a movie playing music etc. nad the DS lasted me about a good 10 hours, they say 8 but i barely pulled out 10 with a full charge.

    * Dman edit button ir=t dont work.
    I forgot to say this

I wanted to get the PSP, but don't want to hearing of all the defects it has in Japan, with dead pixels on the screens, the analog nub snapping off, the UMD disc ejecting when you slightly twist the PSP, etc.

And I've had to get rid of three PS2's because of the stupid disc read error! I now hate Sony! They are evil and made overpriced, crap products!

PSP is supposed to have graphics power similar to the ps2. I would choose the PSP over the 8 and under Nintendo.

the PSP and DS have support from many of the same developers. Kiddie games will exist for the DS, but also more mature games will as well. Remember, nintendo hosted doom mortal kombat and killer instict way backwhen.

my vote goes for the DS, better battery life, better price, more features, wireless multiplayer the list goes on, the PSP also has a number of flaws, a slght twisting of it causes the umd to eject(I have seen the video on the net) also, the PSPs screen appears to be horribly vulnerable to scratches whereas the DS's is safely covered.

also, the DS and PSP have compareable graphics, both are arounf the same graphically.

lets not forget the disc read errors...

I laugh at the fuckin morons who say PSP. DS destroys it.

Graphics the PSP only has 1 good looking game right now, the rest looks like PS1 graphics. No "awesome" game titles have been anounced for the PSP yet. The DS is getting 2 FF's already and probably FF7 because they like working with the DS so much.

The DS already has 2 amazing titles, Metroid Prime: Hunters, and Mario 64. Can you imagine OoT coming out for the DS? I wouldn't be surprised. The DS has so many sweet functions. Nintendo has owned the handheld world as long as anyone could remember.

Last thing I will say right now because I am in a hurry is the price. Estimated price for the PSP is $299.99. The DS is $149.99. Think about it.

So far I have seen people say the PSP is better but there are no reasons explained.

here why the PSP is WORSE

    OUCH!!!

EDIT:looks like some of the pages got too many hits, so some of them are down, the movie of the umd poping out works though, thoughn I will say they exagerate, it doesn't fly out, it just pops out, small diference

Get your info straight. Price on PSP is going to be roughly $185 and thats with headphones, rechargable battery, power supply/charger, carrying case and 32 megabyle memory stick. So a plain PSP with no extras is going to cost the same as DS at $149.99.

Ok second, the launch games for any stystem never fully use the systems full potential. They are just rushed out games to get there by the launch of the system. We dont know whos games will look the best DS and PSP both have some time before we see the games that use thier hardwares full potential.
