http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=122394 Kentsfield @ 4.82ghz 8800GTXs @ 850-870/1150 I think he used liq nitrogen on the CPU and a phase changer on the GPUs. Says he only got em to 60-70% of their potential. Benched with different cores not just quad. I want a quad core in SLI with 8800GTX's. He destroyed the record. Must have a lot of money to waste. I know he/other people and it will come, much higher scores also. This is crazy!
it doesent matter he has two 8800GTX's and a quad core w/o overclocking he'd break stuff....liq nitrogen=$ and if u noticed he tested different cpu's not just the quad
Whose Line is it anway? Yeah I wastch that show alot. Ive only seen like every show they did. This computer isnt that great. My laptop can do the Motorcycle and my desktop can do the worm, irish step dance, and it can lean with and rock with it.
how many gigahertz did he make his CPU go well i saw 2.66 on a quad core so 2.66 x 4 around 10 ghz....
Refer to red text in quote: Such a dumbass comment. The guy went into the Alt+Ctrl+Del and chose which cores to run the tests off of. He didn't seriously go out and buy that many Core 2 Duos. Think a minute would ya... and I am surprised Master didn't catch this. Look at posts next time guys. Either way, good job... means nothing to me really... not our board, not our person, not my excitement. It is cool still but meh.
I think he might have used multistage comrpession/cascade, if he used ln2 he'd probably have been doing it around 5.2GHz on the CPU(could be wrong though kentsfield has a higher TDP - either that or he got coldbugs at much higher frequencies) nvm he used ln2 for everything, GPUS included. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue1CYNtUYec http://download.nvidia.com/downloads/nZone...celess_360P.wmv he also probably has "cherry-picked" parts, ones whicha re better than the average part in terms of overclocking.
