It needs depth dude. I think. And also more effects would not hurt. Adding a few C4Ds would do. Also a Light Source with a different soft brush color because you can't anymore use white because you used it for the background already.

Not feeling it much. Try reading up on some more tutorials to get ideas on how get a BG going and to learn the fundamentals.

I do not really like it, sorry. The render looks like a bad cut if I look at her hair. Remove the text for a start, it is kinda distracting.
The render is a bit too dark for that kind of signautre.
The splatter brushes do not fit at all, with that kind of signature, I would rather add vector brushes. (So that they fit with the lines around her).
Be sure to make these lines mirrored or it has a weird effect.

I can definately understand where you're going with it, so in my mind it's not a failure.

Now, a few things you can do is sharpen the render a bit. You may want to do some recolouring on it, like the eyes.

Now the background is where you lost most of your points. What you have is good in it's simplicity, but if you can create a good simple background with this, it'd be really good. I would suggest trying to do something that would match the lines that are around the render.

I think we can understand your idea, you just need to help communicate the background more efficiently, otherwise the mood won't make it across to it.

Keep working on it, I don't think I can do that kind of style at all.
