I really would have to agree with you on the lyrics. But i started listening to system of a down when they're first album was released and quit after they're third came out.

The main reasons why, alot of time when bands go mainstream such as system of a down did, they're music quality tends to drop tramatically. Personally i think all of they're latest music is crap, and should be thrown in the garbage.

The same thing happened to Metallica, they where great back in the day. But the last album or two they came out with, completely sucked balls, i mean they took out most of the solos for godsakes.

me personnaly i only like the music not the lyrics and the only listen to BYOB i havent heard any else the lyrics are kinda weird *oooooooooh ooooooooooooh*

yes new SOAD album! awesome gonna havta get it, mezmerize was awesome!

 

I fell in love with Mezmerize and can't wait until Hypnotize. And SOAD's lyrics are awesome. Just because they're different doesn't mean they are bad.

The first and second albums are the best IMO because they stayed true to who they were at that point in time. Granted, going mainstream will earn you a fat wallet for sure. Sucks it has to dampen the quality of the music.

The hidden LP stuff was just great too. Marmalade in particular... check it out. also Nuguns. the scitar solo in that song just blows my mind. :wub:

 

Mmm.. I'll definetely get this one, loved Mezmerize too!

 

I only liked sad statue on mezmerize the other were way too screamy.. i'll probably aquire this album and see if it has any good songs on it.
