I'm from 2004, but I missed the whole 2005 year, if I didn't, I'll have like a millon and a half credits by now ... I don't know, but I might miss this summer as well.
Like I said in the other post on this forum... Instill a price ceiling for tutorials. But I dont see what the problem is making someone post a little bit before he/she can buy a resource some one spent lots of their time and energy creating. This is not to say there shouldnt be free tutorials. I think that they're great, and that people need to reward those members that choose to do that by donating creds and giving out [+]reps. But just as in the render requests forum, you don't just want some one registering, making a request (DLing all the tuts) and then never coming back to the site. I'd prefer to build a community by encouraging some level of interaction before the resources are just handed over. Just my 2cents
