I need a soundcard now I guess. I will be gettin these speakers: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=360409 Where can I get the cheapest one? And which to get? It needs to be good quality too! Whoever can find the cheapest by tomorrow night will get 15 credits. Wooh. Stores: Newegg, ZipZoomFly, TigerDirect, BestBuy, CompUSA, Circuit City, Staples, and you can ask about others thats all I can think of. EDIT: I was thinkin one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductCompa...&SubCategory=57 Is it worth it gettin the one thats 56 or 72 vs the 28 dollar one?... I know that 72 dollar one is a deal..but my only job this summer gets me bout 170$ Thats my whole paycheck from the entire 5 days I work into the speaker system xP.. really, would it be worth it? Tell me...
The more expensive 2 are indeed better. The cheaper one, as you probably noticed, is the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE, and the other two are the SB Audigy 2 ZS and the Audigy 2 Platinum. I haven't heard of anyone with a vanilla Audigy, but they don't look that bad.... but they don't have all the bells and whistles that the Audigy 2s have. If price is what you're looking at, then the vanilla Audigy should suit you well... PS: We can't see what speakers you're talking about, you sent us the link to the shopping cart, which is cookied on your computer. And if you're gonna be playing games like CS:Source on your computer, I would recommend either a pair of headphones or a headset. I went from 5.1 to a Headset, and WOW did I notice a difference. Even from the 7.1 Creative GigaWorks S750 I have to a pair of Sennheiser PC165s, did I notice a huge difference. Plus, a good headset, like the Sennheiser PC150s, will only set you back $40, which will leave more $$ for the sound card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustRatingRe...Pagesize=&Page=
Hmm.. Thanks for the help... and thanks for the tip in the PS fixed. It's the Logitech Z-2300 if u dont wanna look.
lol i read through what i said earlier, and it looked like i had multiple personality disorder going on or something... Get the vanilla Audigy... It'll suit you fine.
Yeah, I would say get the "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS SB0350 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card - OEM" out of those. The sound is totally different from the cheapest one you got there, and like the guy you were conversating with above me, I have a 300$ one -___-. When I go to someone elses house or something their music really sounds like ----. So, just keep all that in mind. That, you want good sound and those won't really be "replaced" with anything in the near future for need of an upgrade.
And as stated above, headsets are better for gaming. i have had these headphones for about 3 months, worked perfectly. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16826106937
You guys like making it hard huh?... and AKW why not 10 bucks more for the Platinum? I am gonna talk this over with my mother on what Im allowed to spend... its gonna be her cred card but my money anyhow.. Woah.. what about this? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E5TLT...R&s=electronics Looks great for the money... (after the rebate) only 45 bucks I can get that probly.. saves me 30 bucks vs. those other cards.. Audigy 4..sounds good, is it?... and If I get the Amazon.com Visa® Card I can get the speakers for 67 bucks..
i got a Audigy 2. Its ace! realy clear. and then I have these Creative 7:1 speakers. The bass is immense
I did not realize it was 10 more. I didn't look at that price other than 2. Dude, Audigy 4... that one is 40... odd. I am busy or I would look closer. >.< ----, bbs.
It seems safe but look on later if you can please As long as I buy it within 3 days and postmark the rebate quick which I'll do I'll be fine..
My friend has the same speakers with this sound card, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16829102188 Best bang for your buck option in my opinion. Excellent sound quality, VERY LOUD SUBWOOFER and I mean loud, like wake up your neighborhood loud, drivers are easy to navigate, music playback and game play is amazing especially with OpenAL support.
Ok guys.. UPDATE: Ordered the Audigy 4 and it will come in supposedly in 9-11 days. yes it takes a loooong time, but free shipping saves me 10 bucks. Tomorrow I will order the speakers also. The reason i didnt order together is cuz i wouldnt of saved 30 bucks, dont wanna go into detail tho. thats all.
