intel price cuts on jully 22nd FYI

if you're not overclocking, go for the e6750(cheaper than the current e6700 when it's released)

if you are, go for the e6420.

Not really a CPU overclocker. But a heavy gamer.. BF2, BF2142, COH and stuff.. Need everything to run on MAX settings....

You need not worry. With that current build you can run EVERYTHING on high settings.

Newegg.com is a good website which has a huge collection of computer parts which are easy to search.

    depends.

usually I build it myself, but those places aren't too bad.

    and being able to overclock

    think about it

What exactly is overclocking? In human terms.

Its fairly self-explanatory. Its the art of making your CPU (and other stuff) run faster than they are designed to. You can control it all through the BIOS. Its not extremely hard.

basically for the cpu you go into bios and up the fsb speed and change multi if to hgiher like if u have a fsb wall if u can change multi

    so multixfsb = final speed

u may need 2 increase vcore for it to go higher

test if it's stable in like orthos and games

cpu use rivatuner or atitool and that's self explanatory when u start

the thing with cpu is your ram

amd IMC (integrated mem controller) raises ram freq as u increase fsb) make sure u give enough volts and timings are good then there's 1t vs 2t

4x512mb like me sets it to ddr333 to so my fsb is high enough for it to be bring it up to 414

makes it 2t also/ then ht link is easy just decrease ht multi 800-1000 is good

    intel is different

    the dram:fsb ratio

basically ram matters a lot and higher ram speed = better ratios

    i think 1:1 is optimal

    amd is easier

this is with a good mobo
not anything from dell or any manufacturer like that

    guides everywhere so google
