Hes not a bad guy 4nub1s..I just contacted him, he dident mean anything more than a little cutjoke..Hence you just got GLOBAL moderation, he thought he would tell you to stay away from a thread...Laugh please? :P -- This is what he said.

Also, im tired of being the messanger boy so i will ask one last question..He asked me to ask you:

Why was he banned for 3 days...Just for cutting a little joke? Why was this not even discussed with him? All that happend was he cut a joke and got banned...3 days..Without no say to what he did..Over a little thread? I mean..He had +48 rep, -ZERO reps..Never been warned, Never been Fined, suspended, Nothing..And you were moderator for one day, he cuts a joke, and gets banned from somewhere hes fully dedicated to?

Again, you can tell him your answer when hes back..And thats what he wanted me to ask. [/b][/quote]
Allright, without trying to sound like a total prick... And I mean no offense to you as someone trying to help a friend. Which I commend you for btw.

The plug-ins thread aside... he shouldn't have come into my congrats thread and left a feeble attempt at a joke... especially considering it's not someone I know or talk to on a regular basis to be joking like that... with that said... take into account, this is someone who I thought may harbor some resentment for previous actions, meaning the plug-ins thread... his tone, and what he posted seemed like an attempt to start something in this thread... which apparently wasn't settled with one suspension. <_< It is only 3 days, and I stand by my choice. Now, please let him deal with it however he feels... and do not drag this out any further. ;)

Well... I'm not an admin... but, I could answer that for you. ;)

Generally, mods are people that are active, helpful, and have a good reputation. This isn't always limited to people who have hundreds of +rep... Mainly, it is to see that the person is doing their best to contribute to the community, and not start problems for other people.

This person also needs to be objective to other members by following all the rules and enforcing them.

So, say you have a good friend you met before becoming a mod... if this person breaks the rules... they have to be treated the same as you would someone else in that situation. Granted, each case if different depending on their previous record. Someone who has been warned before will face a more strict punishment than someone who only broke the rule once... obviously.

Aside from that... other potential qualities of being a mod at a GFX site, are a good understanding of one or more GFX programs, knowledge of web coding, experience with other gfx sites.

There could very well be more qualities that our admins look for specifically... but this would be my best guess why I was chosen.

You forgot to put that they also look for well-known people.
