New Item

I would like to suggest implementing a new item at the shop. I (and others, if you look at topics below mine) have found that sometime you get - rep without deserving it. This can be a problem sometimes. Which is why I think a item that allows you to take away one - rep would be a great addition to GR. This item would be expensive of course so that you can't buy your way out of being a bad person, but it will be enough so that some one can undo a wrong that has been done to them. What are your thoughts about this?

 

Well, i would have to say no.

I mean, if you deserve the rep, it should stay. if you dont deserve it, you can get it removed by an admin.

its a pretty decent idea, but Rep goes only two ways, deserved and undeserved.

 

Techniclly it doesn't go away by an admin though. You still have the comment whenever people look at you even if the admin did even it out. I'm saying this item will take away everything, comment and all.

 

um... no. when the admin takes a -rep away, it takes the whole thing away, comment and everything.

 

No, the admin's have the ability to completely REMOVE your -rep. If you take a look at me, I've had a total of 5 -reps my entire stay at GR, and NONE of them are still there. The admins don't just even it out, but remove it.

People should not have the ability to buy reputation, and this goes against the main reputation rules which you can see at the top of any reputation page (the bold yellow writing).

Yes they were. Most of them were because I -repped them first for an appropriate reason.

Another was because I didn't like this guys "Funny Picture", and I said it wasn't funny...

I -Repped him for claiming that he rendered an image that was clearly not rendered... then when I pointed that fact out, he flipped out on me. I was just about to PM Llamaman about it.

 

They aren't buying rep. They are just buying an item to take away rep.

And when an admin took away my - rep, all he did was add more rep to even it out. The comment is still there.

 

Hrmmm... well, when Llamaman of BiG_Dave take away my -rep. They actually take it away.

 

oh great, i was looking at my rep, and a guy named IXI AR3S IXI gave me some stupied - rep becaus he didn't like my sigs.

that means all 3 of my - rep was undeserved. ad they are still there.

 

just calm down dude... the people that posted to "even it out" arent admins. the admins are Llamaman, and Big_Dave.

those people were just giving you +rep because they knew the other ones werent fair. if you ask an admin to remove it, and give a good reason, it will be removed. enough said.

 

Oh I see. I asked a moderator to help me. I guess I should of gone to the admin instead.
