    first of all, P4s blow
seconds it is based on a dead mobo series, upgrades won't happen
thirdly the ram capacity sucks as well.

if you want an intell system, atleast get a pentium D.

better yet if you have 1500$ to spend get an AMD athlon X2 system

I just want to point out how much better dual core is than single core. a PentiumD is effectively two P4s combined together with performance tweeks, if you can get software optimized for it, it can run up to twice as fast. Better yet though, get an AMD athlon x2, they vastly outperform the pentium Ds.

I'm an AMD fan myself but that processor does NOT suck.

It has a 2mb l2 cache. which is pretty decent.

Although I honestly don't see how they can get away with selling that cheap mobo and gfx card at that price.

hell yea I'm not disagreeing with that.

personally I'm going to be getting amd x2 4400+ very soon when i build my new PC

Originally I was thinking about the 4200+ then I realized that the 4400 has 2x1mb l2 cache, as opposed to the 2x512kb on the 4200

yeah I agree with you on the 4400+ from what I hear, it is the most overclockable chip on the market so when the unfortunate time comes that it starts to seem slow, you can crank it up, royally...
