New Admin + Major Updates

    Hello GameRenders!

    My name is John and I am a new administrator and (soon to be) owner of GameRenders. I live in the UK (Scotland) and I am soon to start developing a network site that will include GameRenders. For those of you who have not heard the rumours surrounding the sale of the website in a private deal a few weeks ago I would like to announce this to you.

    What does this change affect you?

    I have been an admirer of GameRenders for a long time but there is a lot of scope for improvement. Here is the basic outline of changes that will be coming in the next few weeks:

    - The increased emphasis of the Renders section of the forum. This will once again become one of the main parts of the forum, since it is the main attraction of the site.

    - The removal of unnessicary features at GameRenders. I've noticed in the past few days that features such as the marketplace and the gaining of credits are a large distraction from the other more important sections of the forum, so in the next few weeks I will start to phaze out the gaining of credits and the marketplace.

    - New membership deals. Premium memberships will be removed and replaced with a new memberships. The current membership deals are unsustainable and in many cases people have been sharing Premium Membership accounts just to get access to the Render sections. Unfortunatly this will mean that current members with Premium Memberships will need to be downgraded but they will receive $5 off our new $30 monthly Premium Memberships.

    - We will be operating a new harsher policy when it comes to warning users due to the previous rules being far too relaxed. There will be no more signature advertising, and we will be using account suspensions and bans much more often.

    What will happen to current staff members

    All current staff members will retain their positions but I will be taking up the new sole position of Administrator. I have spoken to the outgoing owners of GameRenders (BiG_Dave and Llamaman) and they will become Global Moderators for the next few weeks before leaving the website due to personal life priorities.

    Those are just some of the new features that will be introduced in the coming weeks in order to make GameRenders a more successful and enjoyable website. Feel free to post any feedback on the above issues in this thread.

    This is probably major news to most of you, but unfortunatly I am unable to run GameRenders anymore due to real-life priorities. I'll be sticking around for a few weeks as a moderator but if you have any questions then please ask John. I'll make a full announcement before I officially leave ;)

    Wow, Had no idea this was gonna happen. But I doubt it is because it's terrible :( day...

    Ok.

    The Premium Memberships are changing. But does the Donator Group change also? Because I was thinking to become on :unsure:

    well welcome man..and well I cant wait to see what you do with the site.....but are you buying this from Llammaman and Big_Dave?..for how much? :D

    If the Premium Membership is gonna cost $30 a month, no one is gonna pay that. I mean, thats more than the Donator Group. I really wanna become one, but not if I need to pay like $50 a month. I wouldn't even pay $10 a month. This sure sucks...

    $30 Bucks a month to be a premium member HA Yeah right. No one would be a premium member for 30 bucks a month.
