    Nice usage of clipping mask.

First one: Could need some more colors, the clipping mask are more in the foreground than the render is, create some depth.

Second one: Seems oversharpened at a few points, what is that white line at the right half?

Maybe you should downer the opacity of the clipping mask to create just really one focal or blur them more.

The first one needs flow. it's pretty messy and all over the place but also repetitive. Not the best combo. Keep working though.

The second is nice but it's oversharpened. Lighting is nice, but the effects need flow and the face needs to be more focalish, as in blur the sides a bit to draw attention to his face. :)

    Good work generally though.

I like the splatter in the first one, but I'm not liking the clipping splatter in the second one, for the sole fact that his face comes between the brushing. That kind of clipping mask has always rubbed me the wrong way, dunno why :P
