Network Card?

    Just ordered a new computer, without opening it up how do I find what model I have? I totaly forgot and I need it because its acting up so I am going to try updating drivers..

    update, then... try getting chipset drivers if you cannot update them.

    What?? How am I supposed to update and install drivers if I do not even know what the heck I have?

    Download a program called CPU-Z; it's free and it will tell you exactly what you have. Also, no installation required. ;)

    Uhh... guys, he is wondering about his network card, not his CPU, RAM, or other system specs.

    Try using Device Manager (Right click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager.) It might be in there and give you the manufactorer name, etc.

    Is it integrated into the motherboard, or is it a PCI card? If it\'s integrated into the motherboard, the driver for it should be on the Motherboard Utilities CD.
