Well I go through phases.. Previously I was just mostly listening to hiphop. So I now want some rock. Already set up a plsylist with some songs but only have about 20 some songs. Just haven't been into rock for awhile so I forgot the really good songs and bands I used to like. I generally listen to bands like Kill Hannah AFI Fightstar (Broken got me hooked) Taking Back Sunday The Killers Yeah Yeah Yeahs But think I want to listen to a little more stuff along the lines of Kill Hannah and Fightstar. Screaming is cool as long as its not taking up the entire song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hA0sXIHU1dQ Like I love the screaming in that video 2:17 because its not overdone and doesnt take up the whole song So gimme some bands you think I'll like. Not sure what exact genre I'm aiming for
What's the youtube song you linked? Not avaliable in my country or some malarky. If you want some, poppier rock that may occassionally scream, etc. (bearing in mind this is all going to be mainstream stuff). The Blackout Funeral For A Friend (Just...do it okay ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQLeDhqUiAQ ) Finch ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apFOFX4EC4Y...feature=related - couldn't find a normal vid) InMe Every Avenue Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Rufio Senses Fail Silverstein The Sleeping Sparks The Rescue A Static Lullaby (Might be a bit harder, try the older stuff, particularly ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjeynq-kP38 ) Story Of The Year Take The Crown Throw The Fight Watchout! There's Ghosts The Years Gone By Armor For Sleep Before Their Eyes Burden Of A Day Callahan Cobra Starship Escape The Fate Alesana A Skylit Drive Can't 100% recommend all of this personally, but it should be the type of thing you're looking for. A couple of them will be a bit outside it, Watchout! Theres Ghosts is a bit techno-ie, A Static Lullaby screams quite a lot on the new album (Rattlesnake!) though has melodic choruses. Funeral For A Friend, Red Jumpsuit, Senses Fail, Silverstein etc. are all well known.
Thanks these sound great! And the song I linked was Waste A Moment by Fightstar I'll definitely start checking these bands out now.
Just had a listen of my Emarosa album, think you'll like these too so give them a try. Got another 40 or so albums coming in so might have some new recommendations, you'll have enough music.

Thanks guys hehe @Lbot, that song was actually pretty nice, But a bit too hardcore for me, I'm not totally used to the screaming
Try some lighter AttackAttack! stuff then. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaVnb1eSkv0...PL&index=12 Okay it's not lighter. I just like this song. Random "Techno breakdown" is random. Anyway. Due to my recent love of downloading, and all things associated, I tend to download discographies of bands I've never listened to, simply because, why not. Currently Downloading, if you want a look ; The Subways Presence Midnight To Twelve Gallows Tonight Is Goodbye Thieves And Villains Under The Silver Of Machines Emarosa (Album I don't have) The Sound Of Animals Fighting Kill Hannah Don't Look Down The Receiving End Of Sirens Valencia Bela Kiss August Burns Red Stick To Your Guns Catherine Bringing Down Broadway Sea Of Treachery Chiodos Tonight Is Glory Call The Cops Brigade Fighting With Wire Will see if any are recommendable once my other, bloody 9gb file finally finishes, not music though.
Was going to recommend but Broken already mentioned most of the mainstream bands that are good/decent.
Second list particularly there is some less mainstream stuff dotted about, actually struggled to get hold of some of it.
Sweet list Broken, I have so many to check out haha. Makes thinking of ones a lot easier will just try checking out most of these if not all
If you start listening to a lot of Post-Hardcore stuff, you'll eventually get to like screaming. Once you adjust to the style, it starts to grow on you, then you'll start listening to a lot more *core (e.g. Parkway Drive, Bring Me the Horizon, etc). That's how it happened for me, and most of my friends.
He's right. I used to be so anti-screaming, I couldn't stand to even listen to slipknot. (Fortunate because they're crap) I'll happily take almost full screaming songs now, but still prefer a melodic chorus. Keep listening to a bit of screaming, and you'll acclimatise.
