I am working on a template. A 3 column layout actually. http://xero.elpea.net/re-thought/ I need ideas. For a color scheme, for any layout changes, for anything actually. So if you see something in it, please tell me, because I am stumped with this one, and it's hard for just to dump such a good layout . Anyway, when you click that link, it's just a black and white mock up , no colors or images, or tables So, ideas are very welcome
Start with getting a very light, subtle gradient going across the top of the background. Move that really small column either to the left or the right, not in the middle. How about navigation? I think try going horizontally across the top of the banner might be interesting... Thats all for now...
@EE: thanks, I think that that will work, but I was going to put a navigation in the far right column. the middle would be stuff like latest template/article and a little random quote generator also, @ blade master, I was thinking some reds too More ideas as i am still stumped on the detail EDIT: ok, global navigation above the header with page-specific navigations going on the right . If you think this will blow, please don't be shy in telling me
If you going for the navigation to be "category > category specific page" you'd probably want to swing for drop down style menus or mouseover > page specifics appear above/below in a horizontal line.
Nice, i agree with the others though, a navagation and a little more colour needed. Are you practicing Css ? Good job Might try one my self.
practicing? no, I already know enought to get by bt I am always learning and I was talking about page specific navigations like links that will only be relevant to a single page instead of the whole site also, why is everyone saying it's bland, I put up there that it's just a mock up and there was no color
