Add on 2x 512mb Corsair RAM.
    Get a new graphics card.

I have a 2800+ 2.1ghz, Radeon 9800 pro, 1 gig(1x 512mb Kingston / 1x512mb stock) and I can Run source fine. If I put all graphics to max I get 35fps avg on the stress test. Then if I drop some settings(whcih don't matter, same look still) I get 50fps avg, and its all smooth.
