So my birthday is coming up in about two weeks and i expect a whole bunch of cash. My main priority is to get a computer that is pro gamer quality to play games like CoD2, BF2, CS:S and WoW without any lag at all :D. Heres a list of my current specs:

    Processor: AMD Sempron™ Processor 2800+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.6GHz
    Memory: 1024MB RAM
Card name: RADEON 9600 SERIES PRO
    Hard Drive: 40GB

umm, price range would be nice... do you live in the US?

If you're a hardcore gamer, I'd go higher than a Sempron 2800... at least to an Athlon 64 3700/3800...

ram is fine, 1 gig should play most games. 2gigs is better if you can get it..

you'd want more tha 40gbs... you can get a 160gb for about the same price..

That translates to about $431.593 USD

Which then translates your not getting a pro-gamer quality computer.

Sorry, but your gonna need a higher budget than that.

Very true. I saw a Velocity Micro that would fufill your needs plus some, for $1200. If you want a decent gaming computer, you definitely need a larger budget. :)

given you're budget and your specs, swap the motherboard for something with PCI-e and get a 7900GT. OC your proc.

You would be a btit limied due to your proc but you'd be able to play pretty much anything, no graphics lag.
