So one of my friends somehow installed windows 7 twice on a laptop.

So basically it dual boots the same version of W7.

Anyways I've been trying to delete the clone, which was installed on drive E: however it wont let me format the drive even though there is no paging file.

Anyone know another way to get rid of this?

Or better yet, to just wipe the computer and go back to factory settings? (Which should hopefully get rid of the clone)

The latter should be of use to you (factory settings).

If you have some files, make the backup and get rid of both the installations and that's what I'll suggest. Then do a clean install of the Windows 7.
