Need Help Finding A Virus

    Alright i just did a virus scan with mcafee, and it found an .exe and it cant delete it, clean it, or quarnteen it, and it was in my "Program Files" folder, so i was just gonna go in and delete it my self, but its not in there, and mcafee said thats wherer it found the virus, so how do i find it or unhide it or delete it?

    start>turn off computer>loading>black screen

    just leave it like that and nothing should happen.

    on a serious note, I have no idea how you would delete it.

    umm what you can do broken is.. when your in the program files folder hit tools at the top of the box right inbetween favorites and help. then go to folder options... and hit the view tab. once that is done it should bring up a huge list. if you see somewhere that it says show hidden files and folders, make sure that is checked off.

    After that is done look in the program files folder to see if that there are any folders this virus would be located in. or if it is just located in the programfiles folder. hope this worked

    Nope didnt work, i did that, and nothing showed up

    restart ur comp in safe mode then do a virus scan if not get a better vscanner

    Yes do what Doom said.
    If that dont work, download Avast! (free) and run a boot scan to search for it.
