Ok back on track. If you are not scared to drill your case then start making mounting points for some fans that will actually move around air.

Drilling into the case = no no.

I only have a limited ammount of money since I just bought a golf membership for $300.

What if I bought a new case fan, because the hotest thing in my computer is probably my processor. My PSU has 2 fans on it ... so it helps ventilate the top (saw a big difference once i put it in) and my graphics card (x850 XT PE) sucks air out the bottom since it has a dual slot fan.

Would buying a new case fan on the back work?

better airflow will not change your cpu temp. only a bigger heatsink and/or bigger fan will help you there (or ofcourse a water cooling kit)

Like I said, my case fan is attached to my CPU Heatsink with a green tube. The CPU has no fan directly on the heatsink. So that is why I suggested if I should buy a better case fan. That fan would probably also cool the whole computer in general too.

why not just buy a new cpu fan? either way, post temps of your computer, processor, or wutever temp readouts you got.

get a Zalman, and make sure you get the right socket type (939, 478, etc.) it kept my AMD Athlon XP 3000 down to 35-40C on a medium load...

What your CPU socket type? It sounds like you might want a new HSF.

Guys ... I explained this to you already. I bought a new CPU HSF but it didn't fit. I called the company and they said that they dont fit Dell or HP computers ... and I have a Dell so thats why.

then you would have to buy a new motherboard or somehow drill holes so your newer HS&F fit.

EXACTLY! So I just need some suggestions on case fans, because I believe that will be better than a PCI Slot fan.

CASE FANS WILL NOT LOWER YOUR CPU TEMPURATURE......

buy one from dell or something, or get rid of the damn dell.

Dells are not for high gaming, unless you get the new ones by Dell/Alienware...

You don't understand what I'm talking about obviously. And I recieved the Dell for free from my parents (im only 15) and I upgraded it alot.

I can play Call of Duty 2:
    - 1280 x 1024
    - 4x AA and 16x AF
    - Direct X 9 Shaders
    - All Texture Settings to Maximimum

Without a speck of lag ... and I can do the same on HL2, UT2004, Star Wars: EAW, CS: Souce, Doom 3 any other game. And you don't call that high gaming? ^_^

All I need is to cool it a bit better and your not helping any ... I bet u any money that that case fan would lower my temp.

I bet you my ass it won't... the only thing that will help for a case fan is if you can get 2, one in the front, one in the back, or one on the top.

but as i see Dells do not have a top, or front one, the one thing that will help is if you open up your case to allow air flow...

I know what I'm talking about, I did this stuff myself, and experimented..

Get a job at McD's or something...

Just found out some new info ... I thought for sure it was an 80mm fan ... but I opened up my case and measured it and it was around 90mm. I wrote down all of the stuff that was on it and looked it up on google. I found that manufacturers website and it said that is was a 92mm fan. This changes everything about what fan I was gonna buy. So would a 90 mm fan fit if it actually is 92mm where the screwholes are ... or does that little bit not make a difference?

Would this be any good? It looks like a good concept because it can take air from where ever you want almost.

maybe you cant see the concept here...

a PCI-slot fan cannot, will not, won't, and can't cool your CPU, you need a new hs/fan, new case, or new computer, get that in your head, please!
