Need Desperate Help Offering 25 Points

Well all of a sudden my start menu dissapeared and i cant see anything my minimized items go away i cant use start menu its just gone..can anyone help me get it back..please and thank you!

 

ctrl+alt+delete
task manager
applications tab
new task
type "explorer"
run

 

that just opens my documents

 

k, open task manager
processes tab
look for imagename explorer.exe
click end process (NOT END PROCESS TREE)
follow steps from last post

 

iight it worked and then as soon as i exited out of the task manager it went away again

 

do a spyware scan, ive had a similar problem before, a relation of smitfraud I belive

you might be infected with the sam eproblem that I had, which when I had it was undetected by spyware/ virus scanners.

If its possible please download and run hijackthis here run the program with logging enabled and post the log here. It was extremly annoying when I had it (and it was there for over 4 months) if you can get back to me i'll see if you can fix it through HJT

That happened to me once when i DLed Something from a site...then in uninstalled it and it came back ...

 

take your mouse, go to the bottom and drag the task bar up.

 

why can't I do a system restore?

 

thats the exact problem that I had, please post your hijackthis log (or pm me it if your unsure about posting it publically) so i can tell you which files/ keys you need to remove and give you instructions to remove the malware

 

alright do you have aim or anything because idk how to get my log.
