I have a dell xp computer and i haven't changed the monitor settings ever, so I make my tags and they look fine , color wise, to me, But today i went to the Apple computer store and while i was waiting i checked out their new computers and i logged onto here, GR, and checked out the new posts and what not and i saw that all the tags i've seen before looked different, like my tags looked brighter than what they are on my computer at home. Is there anyway to get my computer to show how other computers are going to see it? like is there a default that all computers share that i can set mine too? Thanks for the help!
=\. This should be in technology first of all. Moved. Secondly, no there is not, some screens are just made differently.
Sorry and Ty for the tip I guess I can just work with my apple comp then cause i didn't get why people were saying my image was too bright , but then on the Mac screen it was very bright but on my dell screen it looked fine. =(
Screens these days have more advanced panels that make colors stand out more. Apple is an example of a brand that uses those panels. HP does too, and some Samsung/Acer models as well. If you want to be sure your monitor settings are how they are supposed to be, hit the menu button on your monitor and switch to the factory settings.
i'ts because your monitor is crap. The end. go spend $$$ on a real monitor. Or do as I did and buy an SIPS based panel off of craigslist for $100 from some idiot who has no idea what he's selling.
umm... every company has access to the same panels. Apple just doesn't use crappy TN based panels on their non imac units. http://forums.dealmac.com/read.php?4,2781249 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thin_film_tra...crystal_display http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lcd#Advanced_...hing_.28AFFS.29 so basically TN= lowend crap, it's what you get when you buy a monitor with "low MS and lots of inches" for $150 at walmart VA= good but not suited for gaming IPS = $$$$ but the best. my advice, buy used on craigslist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_monitors I have a 2005FPW and only spent $100 on it. it's notably superior than my e207wfp which I spent $250 on a while back
umm yeah, but you're only seeing 262,144 out of 16,777,216 of them. Oversaturation does not equate to image quality, I'd suggest adjusting your videocard/monitor calibration to get ACCURATE color representation. I have a TN panel based monitor next to an SIPS panel right now and the difference is immediately noticeable. I told my parents I bought a new monitor for $100 to use as a second monitor. They walked in, took a lot at my setup and told me I got ripped off stating that the monitor on the right looked like ---- compared to my old one... they were denouncing the TN based screen... I've had a few friends over... they all have the same conclusion, the colors suck on the TN. It's one of those things you'll never notice unless you have two side by side.
