    yeah totally...

it's amazing how much they put into their computer's. I talked to one of their employees about how they spend their money once. This is basically what they do in building computers

1 hire engineers for hundreds of thousands of dollars to put together a good, reliable system
2 fire engineers and instead have a community college drop out with no prior knowledge piece together something last minute after an acid trip
    3 have a burrito
4 find the cheapest ---- possible
5 hire homeless people to assemble
6 watch your company mascot get caught smoking marijuana
7 spend $200 per computer analyzing where they ------ed up
    8 advertise A LOT

and that is how dells are made

that's practically the same as buying a dell except they have 3000$ more worth of parts on top of the base system, but charge 3k more

Just build the system yourself when you want to, we'll help you choose parts. Where are you located?

Do NOT buy an Alienware. You can get the exact same computer for half the price if you just build it yourself.

Now to be honest, we can't really tell you what to put in a beastly computer right now, if you'll be getting the money later in the year, because by that time just about everything computer-wise will be different, and nearly all recommendations here will be invalid.

My suggestion: Remake the thread when you have cash in hand.

    1) Falcon Northwest - if you insist on buying a prebuilt
    2) This
    Or
    This

Then just take the above advice (from xelink +john) and build it yourself.

I'd advise the Dell monitor over the apple one, from reviews, I've heard they are about the same quality, but the Dell one is 15% cheaper.

as for what he plays, i beleive he mostly wants it for like source and then maybe stuff like Crysis and UT03 when released.

Omg? How many people are suggesting alienware here? *sigh*. Do you still don't know alienware/dell is WAY overpriced? Oh please...

I assume we can select parts from newegg.com for you? When do you want to order it?
