My Norton anti virus has just run out, ive taken advantage of the netguard anti virus NTL costomers get for free so ive installed that. I should hopefully only have to use netguard and another firewall for a few weeks until i get a never version of Norton.

But now im looking for a good free firewall, i know windows comes with one but im not exactly a fan of that ive been told its rubbish, there are so many firewalls out there just wondering which you guys would recomend, remember it needs to be free.

    Thanks in advance.

Use limewire, just download a new program to use, or renew your norton, i don't find norton that good, i use it, but don't seem very good, also i have, BPS software and adware not virus ones though really.

    Good luck. ^_^

bad suggestion... limewire.. how low can you go?

I have used Sygate, I liked it very much, its the only firewall that didn't block my internet connection.

It was free, but now that Symantec bought them out, it is not anymore..

I have its last version before they went to paid. just pm me if you want it.

Zonealarm is great, free version is okay, but it'd be even better if you had the Pro version like I.

XmasterX, any chance you could also send me Sygate, if it is not too much trouble?

    Thanks!

Actually, XmasterX, would one of the versions listed here be the latest version free version you have, or is it not there? http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=sygate

How about you just go into "Network Connections" go to properties on the connections you have then go to advanced and set up the firewall you already have? That the best, and easiest way to do it IMO.
