Well what do you want to know in particular? Asking how it works is too vague.

Ill try to answer though. Simply, you send him the required creds/money for the package and then send with them the info:

SubDomain: (for example, subdomain.mythicx.com)
Username: (not more than 8letters)
Password:
Contact Email:

Then he will send you your login info etc and you can begin hosting your site.

 

do i need a domain? or can i use a free domain like a .tk?

 

You dont need a domain. Also ".tk"s are not real domains. They are just redirections and yes they can be used.
