I'd go with something bolder with a grunge treatment.

i personally like v2 but oh wells

 

Reworking someone else's work isn't exactly frowned upon. DA is covered by the Creative Commons Act (something you should all be familiar with)

Anywho...

Don't like these much. Seems random. No visible concept or layout here. Poor type choice and execution. Both images are over filtered.

Great design and layout. Love the textures. My current job title is Customer Experience Specialist... this is what I deal with every day, but on a larger scale...our customers interactions with a website.

If you could link me, I could give you a more in depth review of the UI, page transitions, code, optimization, etc... design is only about 1/10 of a website, usability is the make it or break it.
