My Portfolio

Hi, I'm new to gamerenders, so I'm not really sure if this topic belongs here...

I'm working on my college portfolio website to showcase my ps work, and I have just started creating the graphics for it. This is really importatant to me and I need feedback from people who know what they're talking about. A friend told me to come here so here I am.

This is going to be part of the title/header of my portfolio site, I need advice, I think it looks good, but that it could look better.
Edit: I think I have my final version now, feel free to compare

Note: This image was made completely from scratch in photoshop cs2, no outside sources, brushes, shapes or anything else was used

I really like it looks shiny and smooth

 

I like it as well. Not sure about the reflection though. Could be done a little better.

 

Any sugestions for the reflection, How it should be improved??

 

I personally would like it more without it at all.

If somebody could give me tips on what I should do with the reflection I would really appreciate it.

Or if enough people tell me it would look better without it then I'll take it out



But how do the colors, fog, and lighting look? sudgestions/comments???

I like everything so far, but I think you should add a small beam of light on the line that divides the wall and the floor.That way the transition doesn't looke so harsh and it fits your kind of "dream" feel.

Thats a really good idea ambiquity, I'm definatlly going to add something like that, I'm also going to add a mirrored effect to the black part of the letters for a shinier feel.

I like the new result, and the reflection on the new one looks good. And this is bugging me, you spell suggestions like this.

 

i would say just remove the reflection.. and how would the background of the reflection look on the final one? as the background in the final one springs really out and leads away from the text

 

I like the overall look. Not sure exactly what you were going for, but it looks nice. ^_^

 

make the BG plain black and more glossy as the BG is very chaotic
