I think I understood about 60 percent of your second post but I think it was probably prompting for responses so here goes.

    First Sig:
You background is alright, standard grunge/abstract. Your left render looks finr but the render on the right ruins the sig for me. You CAN'T blend a red render into a pink sig, you just can't (there's a process server on his way to your house with a lawsuit right now). Also, the text is really unimaginative, and thus also detracts from the sig. Download some more interesting fonts from dafont.com.

    Second Sig:
You have a very peaceful thing going with your second sig. The images are blended well and the light in the middle is good too. One thing to consider is that your work should be either balanced or intentionally imbalanced to create a specific effect. Your second sig is unintentionally imballanced and looks unfinished. Imagine dividing your work area (the sig) into quarters (4 blocks). If you do that with the right side you come off OK, but if you do that to the left side you see the text is too high and too far to the left and the render is too small and too low/left as well. If you want to have two renders as the focus of your sigs then have them both be roughly the same size or have one be the focus and the other be a detail (a small character hiding in the corner, an enlarged version ghosted over the smaller version, etc.). Balance is very important.

Yous sigs look nice but try to remember balance. Also text is VERY important, poor text can destroy a really nice sig and great text on a medeocre sig can make it look much better.

There you go, a comment. Keep working at it!

i;m with monarch on this one (he took the words out of my mouth), feels like it's missing something (needs a lil spice up)

btw like he said about the text, mostly people use a simpel gradient on it or a color overlay on the quote text so it flows with the colors of the sig
