Not that bad actually for a first Try creating a more general flow in the background. You have one part going from bottom left to top right and one part going from bottom right to top left, create a bit of a triangle effect behind the render. I'd opt for create a generally flowed background. Also get rid of the duplicated render behind the original, or at least the -------transparant head, because that makes it look a bit weird You could also just check the tut section and look around a bit there. There are dozens of techniques in sig making, so just check a few tuts for one that you like and try it out
Don't use text. It's not really needed. Hell, I still don't use text. The double render thing I don't like either. I've seen better first tags but eh.
