How much volts did you give the vcore? And what about the rest? I hope for you it wasnt on auto, because if I raise the clock speed of my e6400 to 2.4 it automaticly raises it to 1.42vcore (this might explain the high temps on oc's as i left it on auto, xelink) When I'm bored I'll try some ocing, its just the ram, idk how many volts i should give it. it was on 2.1 according to everest 333mhz@cl3. Anyway, I would get a board with nVidia 680i SLi, they're expensive but very good. For less money: p5b deluxe / ds4. Does it gives any beep when booting? (make sure you have a speaker connected) put 1 stick of ram in it and try then, try different slots. try everything that might cause it not to work.
680i sli doesb't really oc any better it's expensive and really buggy. a lot of people can't get past 350fsb
No, but it's better in games. For OC, I think you're right but some people already got it over 400fsb: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=122683
my board boots up, but then it says there is no keyboard connected and says checksum error. any ideas?
benchmarks show it lagging a bit though. I beleive the chipset implements PCI-e a bit better but other than that...
