Well basically, when I startup my computer, it doesnt start up. It displays this message: Now I dunno what the f**k it's saying, never has this error before. Any suggestions? EDIT: Well my problem has been resolved. It wasnt my hard drive it self, but the wires connecting to the hard drive, they were loose.....And they funny thing is that it was from my 9 yr old little sister, who knows nothing about computers, who suggested me to try and check the wires
Your hard drive probably took a dump. Try checking the power connector or your IDE/SATA connection. If those are fine, go to the BIOS by pressing the DEL key while your comp is booting up. See if your motherboard sees the hard drive. If it does then you will need to reformat the boot drive. If the motherboard can't see it then you have a bad hard drive.
make sure your pc is botting to your hard drive by going to the boot menu when it turns on. hit f12 repeatedly when it shows teh dell or hp or whatever it is screen or maybee f11 if not try del and select but to hard drive if not try formating reinstalling windows.. that is a last resort.. but tahts wat i had to do with my pc D=
I just checked the BIOS, and it seems that I can only detect my cd rom drive, everything else is "undetected" So I guess I have to reformat every drive? Well thats just great, cos I didn't make backups onto a USB or anything
if it does not find your hard drive i think it was probably damaged. at this i have no clue what to do, you will probably have to call like some sort of tech support. couse there maybee a chance to fix it. but i dont think so, as if your mpotherboard does not find it. it can not be formated. unless a specialist is able to fix it. you may have to buy a new hard drive and throw away the old one. and then install windows on the new one. sorry m8 D:
Well my dad's friend owns a computing shop, he could prolly help, but I have a bad feeling that I will have to get a new one.Kinda funny thing is that my dad had to reformat just a few weeks ago, and he also lost all his files and programs.Oh well.
yea i know what it is like to format. i had to do it couse i bought a cheap version of partition magic to install linux *sigh it isnt fun.. it may be fixable but i dont see a way.. but then again, i have no degree in computer sciences.. its just alll experience from when my pc backs up ;D good luck man
Sure, but I have to d/l xfire on my dad's comp though EDIT: Get online oasis, I see your online in forums but not xfire.
