So, I've had these problems, its quite new computer. Not older than 3months. Hewlett packard. I think it's HP pavilion media center m7x00 (x means number lol) . And it happened right after when I have uploaded some pictures from camera to computer . I cannot really delete those picture, important things. I have tried to delete programs what I don't need and virus check. The problem is, that when it once tilts, the processor usage jumps to 100% and all the programs crash and I cannot do nothing than turn the computer off. It's really annoying because i'd had some things to do with the computer and it usually crashes when I'm trying to turn it on. It has happened before, but it did turn normal after deleting StuffIt . Now nothing will help And It's really frustrating
It may be the program that you are using to transfer your pictures to your computer. Are you using Windows Vista, by chance?
Not Vista, Windows xp media center edition. And for the camera transferring, I use normal thing included pretty much in all windows' . And if the camera model helps. It's sony . Alpha 100 digisystem camera or something really close to that. I'm getting pretty frustrated, Since of my young age, computer has much worth and I'll have no chance to buy another this soon if this one breaks.
ummm could be corrupt drivers, go into the control panel and load the "system" up and then go to hardware and device manager and find the drivers for ur camera and delete them by clicking on them and press delete and then replug ur camera in and they should reinstall automatically
ctrl+alt+del then go to the process tab, click the CPU thing to arrange by CPu usage. then kill the process.
make sure u kill the right things because u can damage ur system files if u kill the wrong process, but if u just google the process like "firefox.exe." you should find a description of what it is and what it does and wheather or not it is usefull but i tihnk the best thing is do start, run, type msconfig, then on the tab click start up and untick everything u dont need, all i have is the essential drivers like wireless and my anti virsu software (nod32 FTW ) and same appliess if ya dont know what one thing is just google it and weather u should have it load up or not and then click apply and ok and restart ur comp and ur comp loads faster and uses less RAM good for runnid PS faster and quicker and a good tip for gamers ^^lol wtf, but all true ~Slashiem
well theres a program called tuneup utilities, it has a lot of features that help including a start up manager that tells what the process does if it knows what it is...also lets you customize your computer...but theres only a trial unless you buy it
Well i'm gonna try these when I can get back to my computer. The startup thing won't load fully or something because it opens the messenger program last and when it doesn't pop up in the window I know that the computers tilted
So this is really getting on my nerves. It won't even start up properly. It always crashes when i'm trying to open some program, or even before i get to click the start button. I cannot do my illustrator stuff, no photoshop nor c4d. This just basically annoys the hell outta me because there are some important things on that pc. I couldn't access any of my files on that computer today.
this happened to me before. Luckily i was warrantied and sent it back and they fixed it. I'm never buying another HP.
As a matter of fact I do not even know what defraggimg means. (english not main language pfft. And i'm not any expert on computers) So I guess not. If i'm going to send it back, first Illl have to clean it from some things that the guys of the store/factory might not like, And my personal pictures and such. I don't want my data to get lost. Thank you for your help.
Go to the start>accessories>system tools> defragment I believe, It should help make your PC run faster. You can also get to it through the control panel, Performance and maintenance> Rearrange files to make programs run faster.
if it doesnt start right, try to start it in safe mode, then start, run, msconfig, and go to startup and check off most if not all the things that have a check on em
I have gotten good instructions on irc, but somehow the computer won't go to the safemode. Is f8 the real hotkey to acces it? i tried it and didn't work. Thanks for your word of help. I shall try defragging right tomorrow, because it's night here o finland now.
